Just a fine choice for a weekend adventure in Wykeham with good value for money. The breakfast surpassed any 5-star hotel I've stayed at, especially the perfectly poached eggs. Make sure to try the complimentary snacks and drinks by the log fire in the restaurant.

ideal locashun for visiting nearby towns like pickering and scarborough. our room was good sized with free wifi, even tho it was a bit spotty at times. breakfast was yum and the staff were super friendly, really helped with dietary needs. we were also happy our room got serviced daily, which is rare nowadays. overall, a great stay!
only negatives were the bed was kinda small for a couple and the church bells went off every hour, which was a lil annoying.

Perfect family meal!
We had a fab family meal with our dog. Big portions, and super friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Got the sticky toffee pudding, and wow, it’s one of the best I've tried! Just wish the dining area wasn't so cramped. it was a bit tight with all the tables close together.

Nice room with a comfy bed. Church bells chime every hour, quite disruptive at night. The darts and golf course nearby are fun.

pleasant stay but noisy distractions
The staff demonstrated exceptional hospitality during my stay, offering personalized service that made me feel welcome. The food was delightful, with a menu that catered to various tastes and left a lasting impression.
Having dogs in the bar area was a bit distracting while dining.

my recent stay was much better than last time in wykeham. the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the overall experience enjoyable. the superior double room was spacious with great amenities, including a comfy four-poster bed and a coffee machine.
bathroom could use more storage space.

missingWrote a review on Jun 27inviting bartasty breakfastnoisy environment
The breakfast spread includes some tasty freshly cooked items, with a decent selection available. Sitting in the bar area, I noticed it's an inviting spot to unwind after a long day, with a decent vibe that gives you that local pub feeling.
Rooms can vary significantly. some felt cramped and dated, with a few lacking adequate storage space for bags. You might run into an issue if you're sensitive to noise, like the church bells chiming hourly, which can be disruptive, albeit they stop at 11 pm. Dining might not meet grand expectations, and some menu items come off as basic and possibly overpriced for what they deliver. Plus, there were moments of feeling rushed when ordering, with staff hanging around and doing their own thing instead of offering a relaxed dining atmosphere.

Couple's delightful getaway
I gotta say,, the food was just amazing. Had this Yorkshire Breakfast that blew my mind, just the right amount of everything,, and the evening meals were not just good, they were very reasonably priced too.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain,, but for the experience we had, it was still acceptable.
